Wasps and Homeade Brownies.

I am so dang sick of wasps!!!!!!! We spray and knock the nests down and spray some more. The never seem to go away. Talin was outside today and just started screaming. He had been stung 4 times. 3 on one wrist and once on the other. Poor kid! He hasn't got all swollen like Damen does. So that is good! I gave him some benadryl and put cortizone on the bites. Then he took a nap. He seems fine.
Tonight after dinner David took the kids over to his mom's. When they got home Brienna had brought Paula's recipe for brownies. They were so excited and going on & on about how good they are. So Damen says "I don't want the other kind anymore. I want you to buy the homemade ones."

This summer has just gone by so fast. I have pics I will have to post later. Today was the first day of school. Everything went great. But then again it always does til the excitement wears off. Then I can barely drag them out of bed. Pay backs no fun for me huh mom! I guess I deserve it.

David is home today so Talin is loving life. He has us all to himself. It will be interesting to see if he misses the other kids. Maybe he will when it's just him and I.

Seven Peaks

On Tuesday we all went to Seven Peaks. It didn't start out too well. Right after we go there out tubes got stolen. Arrr that's annoying! David and I were so ticked that we were ready to pack it in! Seriously you spend $18 to rent 2 double tubes and some loser just takes them. Any way we lucked out cause I had been talking to a lady while I was watching Talin in the kiddie pool. She told me that the were leaving. So after we saw our tubes were gone I told her what had happened and asked if we could just give them the dollar return thing you get. So YEAH the day was saved. We all had a great time! Talin is a little water baby! He loves it. I had fun just watching him. Aleena is my little independent dare devil. While I was napping with Talin David let her go on the toilet bowl ride by herself. By the time we found her again she had gone it and Cave In. Luckily no one stole her. I forgot my camera so no pics... But who knows it might have got stolen too.

Fun day

Today Damen had reading like he does 4 days a week. Then we all tried hard to get some things done around the house. Our plan was to go swimming in the afternoon after Brienna and Damen's dentist apts. Aleena really wanted to go... I usually have to yell and threaten to get her to do anything. Today she was a busy little bee. I would love that to happen more often. So we went to the dentist and Damen did great. In the past he would be fine through the whole thing... shot...drilling. Then when they would start polishing he would freak out. I guess he has out grown that. YEAH! After the dentist we were going to swim but Talin was in quite a mood. So he took a nap. It all worked out for the best cause David came home and we all went together. Plus Brooklynn and Kelsie(Michelle's girls) met us there. We had a good time. Talin was a hoot! A little to brave for his mom. It was like he was just going to swim away from me! eeek! He also loved jumping to us. We had to be ready at all times cause he would just jump. I was excited cause they had some lanes set up to swim laps. So I swam a few.... Boy I am out of shape! Guess I'll have to do it more often. Everyone was pretty worn out when we got home, so we had a nice evening too.

Lucky me!!

I have already told half the people I know about this. So I guess now I'll try to tell the rest. Last Tuesday I was having one of those days... Just a dragin" all day long. At 6:00 pm Damen had a T-ball game and I hadn't even fed my kids. Hadn't even thought about dinner. So just before we left Talin fell asleep(lovely!) and Brienna stayed home with him. We went to the game. On the way home I was trying to think of something to make. But when I walked in the door I saw the table was set... HMMM Then I saw that my sweet 11 1/2 year old had made dinner. Whoo-hoo! Mac-a-roni and cheese with little fried cut up hot dogs. And some canned fruit too. That was about the best surprise ever!! I am so lucky to have such a sweet and thoughtful daughter!

My girls are gone...

You would think it would take a little longer for me to miss my girls, but I already do! Aleena left yesterday to go stay with my mom. Brienna left this morning to go to Shadow Mtn. (5th grade camp) I was really looking forward to some peace and quiet... Damen and Aleena have really been at it lately. I know as soon as they are back about an hour I will be ready for them to go again. But right now I just miss my girls. I just think at night time you want your kids home in there own beds.

You won't believe & Funny sisters

Today I woke up at 5AM. And I actually didn't go back to bed. No really. Even more amazing at 6:00 I went grocery shopping. Now I am just hoping I can make it through the day without dying. I need to be peppy cause later I get to go out to lunch with Christy.

So my oldest sister Michelle is in Hawaii. Yes I'm jealous. Anyway my sis Boo(Becka) has been posting little comments on her blog about this. I have to say reading what she says is one of the highlights of my day. So either I'm a big loser or she is really funny. I'm going with the "really funny." I guess you have to know Michelle. But she has a fear of flying and a fear of sharks. So flying over the ocean where the plane could crash and a shark could eat her was not a happy thought for her. Seriously she considered having her doctor write her a prescription for something. I know I'm horrible to get enjoyment out of a sisters fear. I'll blame it on Becka cause she makes it even more funny! The picture above Michelle texted us. Don't you think she looks scared. Becka also pointed out that Michelle is the only one on the plane. That would make you nervous. You'd be the only one for the sharks to eat. Love ya Michelle!
